Tuscany

What you can’t miss…

  • Known for it’s diverse natural landscapes, Tuscany is highlighted by rolling hills, filled with olive groves, vineyards, and artistically placed cypress trees that frame the skyline and properties alike.

  • There are a number of awesome cities and towns to visit in Tuscany, but with how fast the region I hope you have a lot of time or a big spirit if you plan to do it all. That said, Florence is an absolute can’t miss if you’ve never been. It’s the capital of Tuscany, rich with history, fantastic food, cobble stone streets and architecture of the past. We’d recommend spending a night or two — if you don’t think you want to spend that much time in a city, no worries, you can see a lot in a day and be on your way via train or automobile.

  • The wedding is outside of Siena, that like many cities and towns in the region, is a medieval city, distinguished by brick architecture, famous for being Italy’s banking capital of the times. Some others in the region include Lucca, San Gimignano - known as the “manhattan of Tuscany” (find me at the wedding and I’ll explain), Volterra, and Montepulciano (just to name a few!).

  • Pappardelle is the number one pasta in Tuscany and boy! is there a reason why. Tuscany is also known for its beef so if you’re coming from the coast, it’s a great place to detox from seafood (Spaghetti alle vongole i’m looking at you…).

  • For our adventurous guests, Florence has a little bit of everything to offer, from biking between villages, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and so much more.

Where to stay…

  • Borgo Pignano,Il Borro, Lupaia, Borgo San Luigi
